Going for a Walk!

It is a beautiful day in St. Louis area, and My Lady is taking us for a walk. You can see Dragon Hawke, the papillion, on the left, Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff, on the right and I am in the middle. This is the way we always go. The two bigger dogs have black leather leashes with chain collars, and I have a lovely red nylon leash with a tiny chain collar. My Lady can snap them on us in minutes, and we usually wait very patiently for this routine because we love our walks. She walks about an hour a day for at least three days a week, and the other days we usually go out until our business is done. Then, we come in for our cookies. What a nice routine it is, too, except if it is raining. Then all bets are off. We do NOT like walking in the rain, but almost always she takes us out for a quick run. Oh, yes, we do go out three or four times a day, but some trips are shorter than others. My Lady likes to call Great Lady while we are out walking in the morning and that gives them a great time of conversation on the cell phones. In effect, Great Lady is walking with us, too. Great Lady loves to hear about all we do so she and I can pass it on to you. Love until tomorrow from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Here Is My Stairway to Paradise!

This is the wonderful stairway Gentle Sir got for me so I can get into their bed. I am just too small to hop up in there, but this makes it perfect. He is always thinking of me and does so many things to make my life easier. I really appreciate Gentle Sir. The other two dogs can just jump up on the bed or on anything, but I always need help. I even have a little footstool with embroidered roses on it to help me get up on the sofa. This apartment is really fixed up for me, and I love it. My Lady, Great Lady, and Great Sir have been very busy getting their dog book ready for the publisher. Hope it will be okay and can come out soon. Now they are working on another book. This one is called Crossbreed, and it is very interesting. Has a wonderful dog in it, too. It should be on the market before too long. Have to get the cover done now, and it will be ready. Gosh, even the cover is done on the dog book, and I am on it telling about my blog. Can't wait until it comes out. Whee! I will let you know as soon as it is available. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Dragon Hawke Waiting!

Here is Dragon Hawke waiting for his cookie. He is usually last to get his treat, but he waits patiently for it. We are all trained pretty well to behave and do what is expected or we don't get any treat. He is sure watching My Lady getting it ready. In fact, Dragon Hawke is very talented. He can shake hands (paws), sit up readily, put his paws in My Lady's hands, bow his head to pray, and do several other special acts. He is really very cat-like, cleaning his paws like a cat, and preening his fur. His white fur aways looks clean and neat. Mine sometimes looks rather matted or disheveled, but not Dragon Hawke's. His paws, however, are very strong and small. When he jumps up on My Lady's lap, or Great Lady's lap, they holler because his little paws just poke right in and hurt, even though he doesn't mean to hurt them at all. I am so light though that my little paws don't hurt and they hardly notice me jumping in their laps. Therefore, I am always very welcome as a lap dog. Nice. They only are happy with Dragon Hawke if he lies on their laps and doesn't poke their legs. He usually tries to jump on the sofa first and just lie on their laps. He tries to be very accommodating. We are all pretty good guys and try to please because we love My Lady and Great Lady, too. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Gabriel Gets a Cookie, too!

Gabriel is getting his cookie, too. You can see me, if you look hard, watching to be sure he doesn't get more than I did. My Lady is very fair, however, and makes sure each one gets the proper amount and waits his turn. I am usually first, then Gabriel, and finally Dragon Hawke. Of course, the papillion is getting a little pudgie, so it doesn't hurt him to wait a bit. He really does love his food though. He tells me it is the fur that makes him look so big, but we know it is more than fur. Gabriel is always very delicate about taking his cookie, just picking it carefully from My Lady's fingers. I must admit, I grab my cookie and run in under the coffee table to eat it by myself. As I told you before though, my cookie is smaller because I am so little, but it sure is relished. I enjoy it so much and lick up every crumb. When you get only a small portion of dog food, a few little baby carrots, and three cookies a day, you really appreciate each item very much. I am strong and healthy though so all is well. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Getting a Treat!

Here I am getting a treat after our walk. My Lady always has a cookie for each one of us if we have done our business and behaved on the walk. Of course, I am always good and love my cookie. I have noticed that my cookie is smaller than Gabriel's and even Dragon Hawke's but it is just the right size for me, and I do enjoy it so much. Of course, I like my carrots after my meal, too, but the cookie is really special. Gabriel is being more careful now about what he eats after the bout with the peanut butter. I love it, but it sure does not agree with the Chinese Crested Puff. Maybe he just has a sensative stomach. I know he has sensative skin and is very panicky about his paws and having his nails trimmed. I am tough though and can handle almost anything. But then, remember, TNT comes in a small package, too. Putting Away the Toys!

Just putting all my toys back in the blue basket. Our company is gone, and we are just tidying up and getting some rest. It sure is quiet around here now. We had such a good time together, but I must say that we are all a bit exhausted. We did so much in just a few days, but it was worth it. They will be coming again in November for Thanksgiving, and that will be fun. We hope that Daughter V and her husband M will be coming then, too, and will bring Wyatt, an adorable eight- month-old boy who can crawl and will probably be walking then. Now that will really be fun! Well, always other great things to look forward to and think about. Right now, though, I am going to finish pick up all the toys and take a nap. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Oh, They Had to Leave!

This is not the picture of Gabriel I wanted to show you, but it is the only one I have now. The best photo would have been of him and Damien lying in the bed this morning sound asleep with Damien's arm around Gabriel. They looked so cute. My Lady went in to be sure the guest bedroom door was closed because we dogs like to go into the guest room if we can. She was late, however, and Gabriel had already slipped in, jumped in the bed, and was curled up next to Damien who was sound asleep but with his arm about the little dog. Gabriel had appreciated the peanut butter treat, even if it had made him a little sick. Real friends! I couldn't get up in that bed because I need the stairway to get up in My Lady and Gentle Sir's bed. That is part of theproblem of being a teacup Yorkie. I did hear all about the big night they had at Chuckie Cheese. The boys just loved it. It was Gentle Sir's idea, and he sure had that one just right. Have to leave today. It was a short visit, but a great one! Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Bringing Toys Out to Play!

Here I am bringing a yellow toy out from under the coffee table so the boys and I can play. They are such fun now, and I have been running around with my toys and playing fetch. They are really having a good time. The boys get a kick out of playing with my toys. We toss them and go pick them up and see who can get them first. I am small but can get in little places and under the table fast. I am holding my own. Then, My Lady puts a cloth on the coffee table and the boys get snacks there. Woops, one of them felt sorry for Gabriel and gave him some peanut butter from his sandwich. Of course, Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff has such a sensative stomach that it made him feel sick. Oops! He is fine now, but a good deed was not the best one for him, but who was to know? I could have handled it just fine and so could Dragon Hawke who can even eat bugs, but poor old Gabriel. He just can't take it. One walk outside and he was fine though. I wait patiently by the table just for a bite or two and often I get just a little. Never happens with My Lady and Gentle Sir though. We always have our regular routine and same type of goodies. Gosh, we are having a good time. Write more tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.
