Our New Rugs in the Kitchen!

My Lady has been very busy laying down these two runners in the kitchen. Here I am and Gabriel trying to show you the new rugs. Since this apartment has a special new flooring in the kitchen, that was recently installed, that room now is very nice. My Lady wanted to put down runners on top of the hard-finished floor by the sink and stove so it would not be slippery. She and Gentle Sir found some runner padding to make it easier to stand on as well. Yesterday, she worked hard to get everything lined up just right, and it is wonderful. We had to go sit in the living room and just watch so we would not be under foot while she was getting it all lined up because it had to be just perfect. That is the way My Lady is. I wanted to help, but just seemed to get in the way, but she got it done and then we decided to pose to show you how nice it looks. Say, we are really getting things in much better order and liking it here a great deal. Isn't this a good picture? Dragon Hawke was upset because he missed out on the photo shot. I will have to get one of him tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

More About the Blue Toy

I have learned more about the "blue" toy. This is an earlier photo of me and Dragon Hawke, and I have the blue toy. You can see it was much larger. In fact, I found out that it was actually an octopus with eight arms. Over time, I ripped off the arms and now play with just one at a time. I didn't know it was an octopus, and, in fact, I am not sure what an octopus is. My Lady told me it is an animal that lives at the bottom of the ocean and so there is little chance I would ever see a real one. Also, they are gray and not blue and not made out of plastic like this one is. I really like my blue toy better now that I can shake one "arm" of it, and hope it lasts a long time. It sure is fun to learn new things. I forgot my toy was ever as big as it is in this picture, but really like it much better now. Looking forward to a nice weekend with Gentle Sir home all the time, too. Hope your weekend is terrific. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

I Still Like My Blue Toy!

Here I am with the toy My Lady calls my "blue toy," and although I like my new squeaky gadget, I love my blue toy best. You can see that I could pick it up and shake the fool our of it. Since I am a tough little dog, I like to work off my extra energy this way and keep up my feisty ways. I am a terrier, you know. I still weigh only about four pounds and am full grown, so that will probably be it. I think that is a pretty good weight for a Teacup Yorkie, so I am pleased with it. Just remember, I have the heart of a tiger and the spirit of a bull mastiff, so I can hold my own very well. My "brother" dogs, Dragon Hawke, the Papillion, and Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff, may be bigger than I am, but they know they had better not mess around with me. I always win in a spat. I was glad, however, when Dragon Hawke took care of the chow the other day. I would have managed if needed, but was very happy it all ended the way it did. Haven't seen the chow again, but I will bet he will be on a leash when I do. So glad to be getting comments again and know that someone is reading my blog. I will keep the news coming so hope to hear from more of you, too. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

A New Toy!

The dogs each were brought a special new squeaky toy by Gentle Sir. Dragon Hawke just loves his toy. It is fabric with stuffing in it and a squeak that irks everyone. It must be truly wonderful when all three dogs squeak their toys at once. Great Lady could even hear Dragon Hawke squeaking his over the phone, and she said, "Oh, let's hope the squeak doesn't last long." My Lady was taking them out for walks, and Dragon Hawke brought his toy to the door, but My Lady said, "No toys go outside." Finally, he had to leave it behind, but grabbed it the minute he came in the door. Maybe he can get his picture taken with his new toy, and I will show it to you next week. Gabriel likes his toy, too, but I still like my blue one's funny shape, and it is one I can shake hard. Grrrr. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Gabriel Says Hello!

Here is a new photo of Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff, and he says hello to everyone. He likes it here very much and enjoys sitting on Gentle Sir's knee. He says that I can lie on the carpet if I want to, but he much prefers a lap or at least a knee of someone he loves. He really does cotton to men and very especially to Gentle Sir. I have seen Gabriel curl up to Great Lady when she comes to visit, and she pets him constantly while he is lying next to her, but otherwise, he sticks to Gentle Sir if he can. Of course, My Lady is the one who gives him a bath, clips his nails, which he detests and whimpers through all the time, and she gives him his food, so he should be wild about her. Nevertheless, he is really Gentle Sir's dog. There is no doubt about me. I belong totally to My Lady. She is my loved one. Until tomorrow, Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Here I Am in the New Apartment!

Here I am lying on the almost white carpet in our new apartment. Goodness, it is hard to believe that we have such pretty carpeting! My Lady will have a lot of cleaning to do because no matter how careful we are, we always bring in dirt on our paws. However, I am reminded that we have the big stairway up to our paradise, and since that is dark gray carpeting, we may lose part of the dirt there. By the time we are up in the apartment, our paws should be pretty clean. Hooray! We had a hard time in our other place because we came right in off the sidewalk and grassy area into the house and onto the rug. When it was fall, we usually brought in leaves and other debris that hung on to our fur. Gabriel was always a mess because he has even more fur on his paws than either Dragon Hawke or I do since he is a Chinese Crested Puff. I have a new photo of him I will share with you tomorrow. I do like the furry look better than the bare skin of the usual Cresteds. My Lady brushes us but can't do it every time we come in, so I am glad again to have the big stairway. More tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

A Picture of Our Moving Van

Here was our moving van. We had nice men who carried all the things into the apartment, and, as you can see from our veranda where the photo was taken, they had to come in through the stairway below to the second floor. They did a good job though and finally got everything inside. We did have a time trying to find some things, like the shower liner that was in a box labeled with garage books and the pump for the air mattress that was in the bottom of the box with all the Christmas decorations, but little by little, we have most of the things located and in order. Once we get settled, however, I hope we stay here for a long time. I am still tired from all the running around I had to do. Will write more tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.
