I Am Excited!

I am really excited because I just helped to order the proof copy for Hear What Your Dog Says! It is the book that My Lady, Great Lady, and Great Sir have written. Whee! The proof copy will be delivered November 21, just in time for Thanksgiving. Then, Great Sir will order the book to be printed, if it is okay and it should be since they have approved it for printing, and it will be published to be sold on Amazon.com and on Ebooks.com. Isn't that great news? They have been working on this for quite a while and it will be ready for Christmas gifts. My picture is on the back cover of it, too, and my blog address. How about that? We are all thankful and will be getting other books ready to publish as well. This is the first of several we have in the works, but getting them print-ready is a real challenge for the first time. Now we know how it works. It is as hard as getting this blog going originally. I sure do like doing it. Hope you enjoy reading it. Write a comment and let me know. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Hi from All of Us!

Here we are, all three of us, getting ready to answer the door for trick or treaters. I am not sure too many people will come all the way up all the stairs to see us, but we are ready. We did send special gifts of candy to the grand children and that will be their trick or treating. They don't know the people in the area where they live, so they don't go. Great Lady and Great Sir live in an area with no children, so they gave candy to the Noah's Ark Festival which is an alternative to trick or treating since going door to door has become rather dangerous in their area. This festival is a chance for children and parents to come, show off their costumes, and get free candy, hotdogs, soda, chips, and they can play games until they are tired. They can sit on a fire engine, and parents can even get health checks, so it is a real fun time put on by all the churches in the community. Be sure you know the people who give out the treats these days. Be safe. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie, Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff, and Dragon Hawke, the Papillion.

Meet Cody the Golden Retriever!

Here is a picture of Commander Cody who was in the Fulltime RV blog and was swimming in the surf. He is my Uncle's dog and comes to visit Great Lady and Great Sir often and comes to visit us, too. He lives all the time in a motor home and travels around the USA. That is a different life. He is a great pheasant hunter and can retrieve them anywhere, rarely ever missing a bird. Uncle is a big hunter and spent time in South Dakota where there are lots of those beautiful birds. Now Cody is traveling in California and Arizona and has time to swim and have fun instead of working now when he usually would be hunting. He sure can find a bird in tall grass or corn or retrieve a stick in the water or, in fact, anything else tossed out there for him to bring back. Of course, that is what retrievers do. He sure is a great dog. Will write more tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Gabriel Felt Left Out!

I posted the new photos of me and Dragon Hawke, but Gabriel did not get one taken yet. My Lady is just learning, you know. Therefore, he was feeling left out so I decided to use an older one of the two of us so he could be included. This was actually taken back in our old apartment. I miss that place, especially because it was on the first floor and this one is way up on the second floor, and we have to go up and down the long stairway every time we go for a walk. Oh, my aching bones. My Lady is using the stairs as a start for her long walks most days when she leaves us home. She is trying to tone up and get in shape, and we walk too slowly, stopping every few minutes for something. Do you know that she went walking by herself yesterday in a subdivision around here and got lost because there are many, many roads in there but only one way in and out. Much of the area looks the same, and it is easy to walk in circles. She met a very nice lady though who not only told her how to find her way out of the maze but walked with her. Of course, she had a dog, too, so you know she would be a nice person. Maybe My Lady will take us over that way to see if we can meet her again. We will choose a day when it is not so cold, and we can stroll around, not worrying if we can't find our way out quickly. Well, that is the big news for today. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

New Photo of Dragon Hawke!

He really looks good, his colors are so bright. However, My Lady will try to be closer or use the zoom lens to get pictures of us, so we are bigger and the background isn't as dominant. Well, we are learning, remember. Anything new is always a bit of a problem at first. She learns fast, however, so I know the later ones will be great. You can even see the sansaveria plant that is so old and so big. My Lady has had that plant for many, many years, starting with one "tongue" and it just keeps growing thicker. Every once in a while she hacks some off of it and repots it or it would take over the whole room. They call that "mother-in-law's tongue" but that doesn't apply here. My Lady's mother-in-law was a real darling, and we all miss her very much. Of course, Great Lady is Gentle Sir's mother-in-law, and they get along very well. You know I think she is great! Sansaveria is a much nicer name, isn't it? More news tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Some New Pictures!

My Lady finally received the box with the photo printer and the camera charger and took some pictures. Not too bad for a first attempt. The rug, however, is not the best place because I do rather blend into it. Wouldn't you know? The picture of Dragon Hawke is better because his colors stand out so much better than mine do. I will send it tomorrow. But after taking the pictures, then My Lady had to learn how to get them into the computer and send them to my amanuensis. You know about her. She is Great Lady, the one who does my writing. I tell her what to write and really depend on her to get my message out; however, My Lady is the one who takes care of me every day and does all the work taking the photos. It is really a challenge getting the pictures into the computer, sending them to Great Lady so she can include them in the post. Now Great Lady has to figure out how to crop the pictures so you get the dogs and not the carpet. Always learning. I sure do work hard getting everyone to do everything for me. They do love me though and prove it everyday. I am so fortunate to be in this family. I will send Dragon Hawke's new picture tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Really Sleepy!

Gosh, here it is Sunday afternoon. Football is on TV, and I am so sleepy that I am going to take a snooze. All of us dogs have the same idea. You can see Gabriel toward the head of the bed, Dragon Hawke is on the right, and I am in the middle. I am just going to finish this and go to sleep for a bit. My Lady and Gentle Sir are watching football so we have the bed to ourselves. We were up early, so are really ready for a snooze. Been working hard on the books, so it is a good time to go slow for a change. Just waiting to hear if they are all right to get the proof copies now. Hope it won't be much longer. Write more tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.
