Please, look and see if you can find the blog I started a year ago, and then; I lost it. The title was Kheldar's Yorkie Blog. com. I was doing very well with it and enjoyed doing it, but one day, I inadvertently changed the name and could not get back to my original one. Uncle Rick (My Lady's brother who knows a lot about blogging) just told me that the new name was too hard to find and nobody, except some dear family members could even read it. Then, today all the old posts came up and I could get back to my original one. See if you can find it. I have written a new post on it. Kheldar's Yorkie Blog.com. Please, let me know. I have so much to tell you. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Gabriel Says, "I Am Ready, Too!"
"Yes, I am ready," says Gabriel who is looking forward to the grandsons and their parents coming for a visit. I am all bathed and groomed, no small task, because I have to have my fur dried with a hair dryer and brushed really well. I don't mind, however, unless My Lady messes around with my paws. I do not like to have my nails clipped or even have my paws brushed. They are very tender. She does things very delicately though, and she insists that I have to have these things done for my own sake. I sure don't want a snagged or broken nail, and that can happen if they get too long. Of course, I am a Chinese Crested Puff, not a baldy that doesn't require all the problems working with the fur, but the baldies have to be careful they do not get sunburned, and they get cold very easily because they are bare. Great Lady says she likes my soft beautiful fur, and she really likes to pet me when she is here. Often, I sit right next to her on the sofa, and she pets me for a long time. I am special. Also, My Lady says that I am a very sweet dog, and I look absolutely gorgeous now. Well, I will report to Kheldar that I am all set for the visit tonight. Hooray! Now I will say, Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Dragon Hawke Ready, Too!
After my comments yesterday about having had a bath and being ready for company, Dragon Hawke, the Papillion, had his nose out of joint because he says that he had a bath, a major brushing in his very thick fur, and he looks dazzling now. I must say, he does look pretty nice. Dragon Hawke is always very particular about the way he looks, and cat-like, he will sit up on the back of the chair and lick his white paws clean. His fur never looks shaggy or matted like mine sometimes does, but he does shed, especially when spring comes and the weather starts to warm up. He will get a really thick fur now for winter, and he may need it here in St. Louis. I understand it will be much cooler than in Nashville, but not nearly as cold as it was when we lived in South Dakota. Well, he needs his fur, but I have sweaters and a coat to wear when it really gets cold, and I will happily stand and wait for My Lady to slip the sweater or the heavier coat on me when it is cold. I just had to be sure to let you know that Dragon Hawke does look very nice and is ready for company, too. I guess I will have to say some good words about Gabriel tomorrow, or he will probably be upset. Til then, Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Ready for Visitors!
I just had a bath and am ready for visitors. My Lady washed me, Dragon Hawke, and Gabriel, and we are really looking great. We are so excited because we are having company this weekend. We are not used to having children around so this will be a big change. My Lady's son J, his wife V, their sons A and D, who are My Lady's grandchildren, are going to be coming from Nashville to visit Grandma and Grandpa. It will really be exciting here. A is a darling five-year-old boy who pets me nicely, but D is really cute but much younger, just turned three, and he runs after me. He just doesn't understand that I have to be careful I am not stepped on so I run and hide. I am only four pounds, you know. They don't have a dog so they are really thrilled to see us, and I know My Lady will watch and help them learn how to play with us better. They are still too young to realize how fragile I am. Son J has taken care of us lots of times when we used to live near them in Nashville, so I will be happy to see him, and I am sure after we are together for a while, we will all get along just fine. My Lady is so happy they are coming, so I am happy, too. Tell you more about our visit tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Roses for My Lady!
My Lady received these lovely roses from Gentle Sir who felt so badly that she had to stay home while Great Lady and Great Sir went to the funeral of My Lady's Aunt Charlene in Chicago. It was a long trip from St. Louis, and it just was not possible for My Lady to attend; nevertheless, My Lady's mother (Charlene's Sister) and dad went, driving there from South Dakota, a really long trip and got back home safely. We were all tired from the traveling and being along in spirit and on the phone every step of the way. We will sure miss her, but the funeral was really nice, and we know she is in a really fine place now with the Lord. I just wanted you to see the flowers we now have in our nice apartment in memory of our dear Aunt Charlene. Now we are getting ready for some big company this weekend. Tomorrow I will tell you all about the preparations for that. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

I am back!
I may look tired and even rather bedraggled, but it was a long, hard trip. Great Lady and Great Sir drove over 600 miles each way to see that her dear sister was interred and put to rest. Great Sir did the beautiful service at the cemetery, and they made sure flowers were placed at each tomb stone in the family plot--Sister's father's, mother's, Sister's husband, and now her. She will be missed. Oh, yes, Sister really liked me a lot. I will miss her, too. But we are all back home now, and we are going to rest a bit. All we did is drive for four days straight, with the services on Thursday night and Friday morning. Tomorrow I will feel better, but right now I am going to take it easy for a bit. Know you will understand. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.
