I was playing with my favorite blue toy when I decided to check in with various blogs. I saw one called http://fulltimerving/ with Rick and Orinda and there was the cutest Golden Retriever swimming in the surf. Blogs about many things can be very interesting, but blogs that feature a dog are special. Capt. Commander Cody is a darling dog and really was having fun chasing a toy until he got tired of the fun and then he chewed it to pieces. He sure was able to stop chasing and surfing in the waves when he was tired. He was ready for a rest. Of course, I wrote him a comment and told him how much I liked the dog parts. Got to go see what My Lady is doing. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Cookie Celebrating the Birthday!
I am getting a cookie as part of Gentle Sir's birthday celebration. He was so very surprised to get the cream puff with a big candle to blow out too. We sang to him and while he ate his cream puff, filled with whipped cream, that My Lady had walked all the way to the store to purchase it especially as a surprise, we had our treats. He was really thrilled. Not often that she can surprise him, but she really did this time. Hopefully, they will get the extra parts for the camera soon that Great Lady and Great Sir gave them so they can take more pictures of me. The box contains the charger, a tripod, Kodak paper and a small photo machine so they can install the camera on it and print off great pictures of me. Of course, then My Lady can use the chip in the camera to send photos on "gmail" to Great Lady who, as I have explained before, is my amanuensis and does the typing for me after I tell her all about what is going on here and tell her which picture to use. I am thrilled because our book is also in process now and hopefully is going to the printer to get a proof copy for one more check before publication. Whee! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Wait until you see my picture on the back of the cover of Volume 1 and with my blog address. I believe Volume 3 will be all about me, but Volume 1 is about "The First Dogs." More tomorrow. A Happy Birthday to Gentle Sir!
Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff, Dragon Hawke, the black and white Papillion, and I sang "Happy Birthday" to Gentle Sir who had a birthday yesterday. My Lady had walked to the store, which is quite a hike from here, to get a special treat for him, putting a candle on the chocolate eclair, as a surprise. They did celebrate his birthday early when Son J, his wife V, Ashton, and Damien had been visiting so they could all be a part of it and have a big cake. Of course, it was a chocolate cake with white frosting and candles. Last night, however, it was an individual special treat, with a candle, that Gentle Sir really loves, and he was truly surprised. We had such fun and had a special cookie which we love, too. Of course, we sang to him and it was a great time. Hope he enjoyed it. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Another New Thing I Like!
This is a picture of me with my old new toy that Gabrial broke, but it made me think of the new thing I found I like and it is green. Lettuce! My Lady gave me a piece of lettuce the other day, thinking I would turn up my nose at it. Well, I found it was quite tasty and liked it very well. So now I have two veggies that I like. Carrots and lettuce. My Lady tried some new dry food for me the other day, too, and she says it looks like Kix cereal, but I don't think much of it. I prefer the type I have been eating in the past and hope she can find it again and they haven't "improved" it. She is always complaining, along with Great Lady, how they find things they just love and then they "improve" it and make it awful. Can't find pine fragrances anymore because the sprays have been "improved" to mango or watermelon or, even worse, papaya. They both love the pine fragrance and sometimes can find a can at Christmas, but the rest of the time it is all fruity. Even the body wash is mango or cucumber. Who wants to smell like that? They like lavender, rose, and lovely scents rather than fruit. Oh, well, lettuce doesn't smell at all but sure is good along with the carrots and dry food. Miss my cute squeaky toy too, now that I think of it. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Ready for a Rest!
I have worked so hard trying to arrange for ads to appear on my blog that I am exhausted. I am going to take a short nap on my pillow. I had to put my pillow away when we had our visitors because the boys, Ashton and Damien, had to sleep on My Lady's wonderful air mattress on the floor in the dining room since their father and mother were in the guest bedroom. They loved making a pallet on the floor and snuggling in there for the night. Of course, I could even jump in there with them. In the morning they often ran into the guest bedroom and climbed into bed with their father and mother and usually Gabriel and Dragon Hawke joined them there, but I couldn't. What fun we all had while they were here. Looking forward to Thanksgiving now. However, I am glad to have my pillow back but sure do miss the children. Watch now and see if I have been successful getting ads in my blog. I sure do have a hard time filling out forms. I never can understand what they are asking for. Even have trouble spelling my name because they tell me "those characters are not accepted." What characters? Capital letters? Periods? Well, I do know how to write my name, but it often doesn't please others on forms. Now the blog name is quite different. What do they want? All the funny words and punctuation marks just don't seem to go together. We will see if the ads come. Ta Ta for now, Kheldar, the Yorkie.

A Great Place to Be!
After I climb the steps, here I am on My Lady's and Gentle Sir's bed. You can see Gabriel is here too, and Dragon Hawke. At night I actually sleep with my head on the pillow and snuggled up to My Lady. That is too warm a spot for Dragon Hawke though. With all his fur, he likes to sleep on the outside of the blanket and Gabriel stays on the foot of the bed on top of the blanket, too. Of course, I have the preferred spot. We all wake up My Lady when it is time, she throws on some clothes, and takes us out for a walk. We sure have a nice routine. Gentle Sir has to leave early in the morning to get to work on time, which he always does. He gives My Lady a kiss and I growl just to let him know I will take care of her while he is gone. He pets my head and is off. Then we sleep for a while longer until I am ready to get up for the day. Well, I do have a few naps here and there but dogs do like to sleep, you know. More tomorrow. Love My Carrots!
Love those little carrots. They are just my size. I get a few of those after I eat my breakfast. My Lady holds them until I eat the regular food and then gives me a carrot, one at a time. I sure do enjoy them. Dragon Hawke is not too thrilled with his nor is Gabriel. I do like my carrot-time though. Well, have to run now. The folks are going to church so I will have to eat fast and get ready to hear my TV program. They always leave a good program on for us. More later. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.
