The Old Me!

This is the way I used to look. Oh, it really was much better. I liked my fur; however, I didn't like it the way it was matted. It really did look awful. I just could not bear to have My Lady even try to comb it out. It was painful, so I am clipped and then some. It will grown in again, even nicer than it is here. I wish I could have waited for another month or so until it got warmer here, but I am an inside dog and don'g have to go out long. Also, if I am really cold, My Lady will put on my sweater. She has been sick, too, so we sure don't stay outside long in this cold weather. Well, just wanted to remind you of how I used to look. I do feel better now though. Kheldar is getting used to seeing me "shaved" now, and he was kind enough to let me tell you about my experience. Thanks to Kheldar, the Yorkie.

I've Been Trimmed!

I am Gabriel, the Chinese Crested Puff, and I have been trimmed! Do you remember when I had long, fluffy, soft fur? Well, I got my fur so matted that My Lady just could not brush or comb it out. It really was pretty bad, so My Lady sent me off to a groomer and he shaved we down and got rid of all that bad fur. I will grow out lovely again and be my old self before long. I like lying here in the chair with the woolly seat. It is warm. Glad I don't have to be outside long, but I am fine. I will show you a picture of the way I used to look tomorrow so you can compare. I will try to be more careful about rolling around and getting into things that mat my fur though. I sure do look different. Kheldar hardly recognized me. He will write tomorrow. Love from Gabriel at Kheldar, the Yorkie blog.

Lying on the Bed!

Here I am lying on My Lady and Gentle Sir's bed with the new white sheets on it. The bed was just getting made, and I hopped up on it. It was so nice. These are the softest sheets and smell so fresh from the laundry. My Lady always washes the new sheets first. We have a pretty new cover for the comforter, too. That was what My Lady got for Christmas from her folks. Well, actually, they send a check and then My Lady gets to go shopping, too. What fun! Gentle Sir always gives her something special, often jewelry because she loves that. She got some beautiful earrings this year and they are really pretty. Amethists, I think. Well, I got a new toy and that is nicer for me. I sure don't need earrings. My ears are cute enough the way they are. Well, everyone is so busy reading the books, trying to get them proofed and published. Hardly have time for the computer these days. Hope to write more tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

More snow!

Here it is when it started snowing, but now we have eight inches of it over ice. It is cold (20 degrees) and not melting either. We had no work yesterday because everything was closed and no one could get around on the roads. I could not even walk in the snow because I sank down in it and it was over my head a lot. It kept snowing all day, so I could not even go outside. Gentle Sir had to walk to the store and buy a snow shovel so he can get the car out of the garage. Boy, this is really weird. I had never seen this much snow in Nashville or California. Wish I were with Great Lady and Great Sir in Florida where they never have cold weather, unless you count 50 degrees cold, and they have no snow. I thought it was fun at Christmas when the boys were here and we had fun in the little bit of snow. But now, this deep stuff is awful. I tried to leap out and over it, but it was no use. I just cannot move. My Lady put down a paper over plastic on the veranda porch on the second floor for me to go out and use, but it is sure cold out there, too. At least there is no snow. Been mighty busy getting the Volume 2 of "Hear What Your Dog Says!" proof read and "Crossbreed." Both books are ready to be published except for the final proof reading. "Hear What Your Dog Says!" Volume 1 has been published at Amazon.Com and some readers are waiting for Volume 2 to get published, too. Everyone is really busy working on that now. How exciting. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

My Toy Basket!

Going to my toy basket under the coffee table to get a new toy to play with for a while. I have quite a selections, as you can see, and I often get them all out and then have to put them away when I am done, but it is so much fun. I love to pull them out and play with each one for a while. Then, when My Lady says, "Put your toys away, Kheldar, I go right away and do it. It really takes me a while sometimes, but I am getting out my favorite blue toy now. At least My Lady tells me the toy I play with a lot is blue. I really can't tell that, you know. I see shades of gray. More tomorrow. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

Resting Up Today!

Taking it easy today on my pink pillow. My Lady is still not up to par, but I think she is a little better. We are still taking it easy though. I am sure waiting for warmer weather, but I think everyone is doing that. We still have a time to go so we will just have to take it slow now and get ready for spring when we can run outside again. Glad we have a nice warm place though and can be so cozy. Love from Kheldar, the Yorkie.

On Our Walk!

Going for a walk with Dragon Hawke on the left, Gabriel on the right, and I, Kheldar, am in the middle. You have to look hard to see me, but remember I am a four-pound teacup Yorkie. I may be small, but I hold my own in most situations. My Lady is taking us for short walks because she still isn't feeling too good; however, you know we do need to go outside some anyway. Gentle Sir is gone all day to work, but he does take us out once in a while early in the morning and later at night, but otherwise it is up to My Lady to get us outside. Remember, she has to go up and down a long, long stairway since we are on the second floor, too. Not the best when you don't feel well. Well, that is the way things are. When it is nice outside, it is great, but in this cold miserable weather, it is not as much fun. Often I need my sweater on, too. Well, more tomorrow from Kheldar, the Yorkie.
